TYKO SAY

The act of mixing visual signals into a new text through analogue modes provides a physicality and deliberate notion of creation that is spontaneous and can be influenced only by the present.

Tyko’s film work favors a deliberate embrace of the analogue—a cinematic grammar shaped by VHS, improvisation, and collective authorship.
Highlights include Anti‑Climax (April 24, 2024, Art Brut Praha)—a live‑cinema performance where audience members became script writers in real time as a film was improvized before them.
The OBJECT:PRAHA series builds on that experimental ethos: early chapters like OBJECT:PRAHA II (2022) which documented pandemic‑era happenings on VHS, reclaiming muted public performance as lowbrow, punk‑inflected community rituals.
And, most recently, in OBJECT:PRAHA’s fifth iteration, Momentument, (March 2025) which extends the manifesto into participatory curation—locals layered collective expression onto canvases and then reclaimed their framed perspectives, all preserved in the resulting film.
